The New Crib! :)

I'm sure my family is waiting patiently for these pictures, so here they are. This is the best tour I can give with a camera!

The best part of the back yard!!!!!!!!
View from the door of my bedroom!
My closet is to the left... no one wants to see that ;)
Just so I don't have to say in another million times, I am loving it so far. I am so much closer to work, and I love this side of town. I have two other roomates for now, and eventually there will be 3 others. They are hardly here so we don't get in eachothers way so far. I can't wait to use the grill! We also have a community pool that is pretty nice with a big grassy park area. I couldn't have found a better place! I love it!

Ch...Ch...Changes!

The other day I was cleaning my house and came across a book my mom got me when we went to "Time out for Women". It's by Amanda Dickson and it's called Change It Up. It's definitely a book I would recommend to anyone. And it stuck out to me in a time when I really needed it.
I will be the first to admit I've been down on myself lately. I miss good friends I haven't seen in a while, and lets face it, meeting new people is really hard... So in this book she talks about the obvious... Change is hard! But change is the only constant thing in this life. So instead of being afraid, why don't we embrace change and go with the flow, big or small? Recently I've had some pretty amazing luck with change. I hated the last job I had. It was fun for a while and it brought in the money, but it wasn't what I wanted to do with the rest of my life. So I met a guy in my ward that convinced me to run in the Pat Tillman race. He bailed on me and I ran it anyway. Then my cousin told me he was working at a booth with Backfit Chiropractic and Rehab, which is who he worked for, and that I should stop by after I finished the race. So, I did, and ended up going to Backfit for chiropractic care. To my surprise, I landed a job there and I couldn't be happier (long story short).
This was an instance where change was a great thing for me, but other times change hasn't been so easy. Change is made easy when we get down on our knees and pray. I know Heavenly Father led me to people that would send me on my way to the path I needed to be on. How truly amazing it is to actually look back and see how everything worked out, and I am grateful everyday that my Savior loves me enough to surround me with the people I need in my life. I hope that I can be that person that helps someone find their path one day. My goal is to embrace change everyday. Change up your day in small ways. Take a different route to work, get ready in a different order... Change up your life! I love how she puts a positive twist on change. She talks about how people have lost their jobs and went on to find their dream job. Another person broke up with the guy she was with and ended up marrying her perfect man. Then like I said how even making small changes can help keep your life interesting and not so routine. I will embrace change no matter what comes my way!

Can you say SLACKER?

Yes, I realize I haven't updated my blog in quite some time... For those who follow my most exciting life, I do apologize! A lot has happened since last November! (How sad is that!?) I'm still living in my cute apartment! I love it so much. We have a new addition to our family. Jen and Tyler had a little baby girl on April 1, 2011. She is the most adorable, precious, sweet baby!!! And her hair!!! She has so much hair, it's crazy! I just love her so much! And her big brother Carson is so proud. He just wanted to hold her all day long and give her kisses. TOO CUTE!

THEN, on April 16th I had the opportunity to run in the Pat Tillman Run. It was 4.2 miles long and I decided to run in it two weeks prior... Um... why I don't train longer for things like this is beyond me. I'm pretty sure the last time I trained for the 5k in St. George I had barely any training. But boy and I thankful for adrenaline. It carried me all the way through. I have been cursed with weak legs and bad shin splints. Running was miserable until race DAY. My legs barely hurt and I was able to finish the race in 39:30. Pretty good for 2 weeks of training. Adrenaline is the best feeling ever. And that is why I run.
My best friend Brandis turned 21 this April! She had a pretty relaxed birthday. I think she had it pretty good for her big TWO-ONE. I did her nails for her and got her all ready to go eat with her family. I should have taken pictures, but I didn't. She's been an amazing friend. She's practically my sister, and even though we fight like sisters and don't talk to each other for long periods of time, we are quick to forgive and I'm grateful she is my best friend! She's always there for me when I need her and I appreciate her! Happy 21 Brandi!
Other than that, life is going pretty steady. I can't complain. I've made lots of new friends from my ward and life has been pretty amazing! I'll try to do better about posting :) Hope everyone is doing well!

Anyone out there?

I have one favor to ask of you... If you follow my blog, please comment on this post. I'm not going to update anymore if no one follows. As you can see, I keep up with it so well anyway :) But I will try to do better if I know people care haha. Thanks a bunch!
