Ch...Ch...Changes!

The other day I was cleaning my house and came across a book my mom got me when we went to "Time out for Women". It's by Amanda Dickson and it's called Change It Up. It's definitely a book I would recommend to anyone. And it stuck out to me in a time when I really needed it.
I will be the first to admit I've been down on myself lately. I miss good friends I haven't seen in a while, and lets face it, meeting new people is really hard... So in this book she talks about the obvious... Change is hard! But change is the only constant thing in this life. So instead of being afraid, why don't we embrace change and go with the flow, big or small? Recently I've had some pretty amazing luck with change. I hated the last job I had. It was fun for a while and it brought in the money, but it wasn't what I wanted to do with the rest of my life. So I met a guy in my ward that convinced me to run in the Pat Tillman race. He bailed on me and I ran it anyway. Then my cousin told me he was working at a booth with Backfit Chiropractic and Rehab, which is who he worked for, and that I should stop by after I finished the race. So, I did, and ended up going to Backfit for chiropractic care. To my surprise, I landed a job there and I couldn't be happier (long story short).
This was an instance where change was a great thing for me, but other times change hasn't been so easy. Change is made easy when we get down on our knees and pray. I know Heavenly Father led me to people that would send me on my way to the path I needed to be on. How truly amazing it is to actually look back and see how everything worked out, and I am grateful everyday that my Savior loves me enough to surround me with the people I need in my life. I hope that I can be that person that helps someone find their path one day. My goal is to embrace change everyday. Change up your day in small ways. Take a different route to work, get ready in a different order... Change up your life! I love how she puts a positive twist on change. She talks about how people have lost their jobs and went on to find their dream job. Another person broke up with the guy she was with and ended up marrying her perfect man. Then like I said how even making small changes can help keep your life interesting and not so routine. I will embrace change no matter what comes my way!
